About · Manifesto

Women's health needs a global voice.

We are a collective of global femtech initiatives dedicated to promoting innovation, literacy and community in women's health — fostering a powerful network to transform the landscape of women's healthcare worldwide.
About us

A global forum for women's health.

At Femtech Across Borders, we envision a world where women's health is at the forefront of research, adequately funded, and flourishing with innovative solutions. We are united by our commitment to address the pressing challenges that women face in accessing gender-appropriate health information and services worldwide.

Our collaborative forum aims to catalyse systemic change by empowering women through knowledge, innovation, and enhanced literacy — ensuring equal access to comprehensive, quality healthcare regardless of location.

We represent 80+ countries across the globe, made up of charities, nonprofits, government initiatives, private companies and corporate femtech arms, gathering in an open forum to collectively move the needle on women's health.

Femtech Across Borders was first founded by the teams at Femtech Canada and Impact 51, and is managed by Rachel Bartholomew.

Our mission

Acknowledging that women's health is under-researched, underfunded, and lacking in innovation worldwide, we have united to create a global forum to address these issues.

Our mission is to bring together organisations and stakeholders engaged in promoting innovation and literacy initiatives in women's health — fostering a powerful network dedicated to transforming the landscape of women's healthcare worldwide.

For too long, women's health has been treated as a niche. We refuse that framing.

Femtech Across Borders was founded on a simple idea: the people building the future of women's health are everywhere — and they should know each other. Our manifesto sets out the seven commitments that guide everything we do.

01

Literacy & Education

We believe education is a fundamental pillar of women's health. Our initiative prioritises efforts to enhance health literacy among women, empowering them to make informed decisions about their well-being and to access appropriate healthcare services.

02

Advocacy & Policy Change

Through collective advocacy, we champion policies that dismantle barriers to women's health access and prioritise gender-appropriate care. By engaging policymakers and stakeholders, we influence systemic changes that promote equality and inclusivity in healthcare systems.

03

Global Outreach & Access

Our vision extends to underserved communities in remote regions — ensuring no woman is left behind in the pursuit of gender-appropriate healthcare. We work to promote equal access to health resources, regardless of geographical or socio-economic constraints.

04

Global Collaboration

We unite organisations and experts from many countries, working collectively to foster a global movement for advancing women's health. By promoting cross-border cooperation, we share knowledge, best practices and resources to maximise the impact of our work.

05

Research Advancement

Recognising the need for evidence-based solutions, we advocate for increased research funding and support projects that address critical gaps in women's health. Our commitment to research drives policy change and ensures healthcare decisions are rooted in comprehensive evidence.

06

Innovation & Technology

Embracing innovation and technology, we actively promote groundbreaking initiatives that revolutionise women's health. By leveraging emerging technologies, we strive to develop accessible, cost-effective, inclusive and scalable solutions to improve healthcare outcomes for women globally.

07

Cultural Sensitivity & Diversity

Emphasising cultural sensitivity, we tailor our initiatives to respect diverse beliefs, traditions and practices related to women's health. By collaborating with local communities, we build trust and foster sustainable health improvements.

Together, we aspire to create a world where women are empowered, informed, and supported in their pursuit of health and well-being.
